Who is Mrs. Maroney
Who is Mrs. Maroney?
Hello! My name is Amy Maroney. I am excited to be a part of Sardis High School. I began my teaching career in Etowah County in 1997 working in the Special Education Department. I am a graduate of Boaz High School. I received my Bachelors Degree from Jacksonville State University in Special Education. I completed my Masters from the University of Alabama Birmingham. I am a Highly Qualified teacher according to No Child Left Behind.
I am happily married to Stanley Maroney.  We have been blessed with 4 wonderful boys, Landon, Spencer, Austin, Ethan, and a hyper boxer, Rexie. We are very active members at Christ Central Church in Rainbow City. My hobbies include cake decorating, sports, running, taking photographs, sewing (learning how to sew), and spending time with my family.
Teaching is my passion. I love looking into the eyes of children as you see the gleam of learning. The most rewarding part of teaching is the moment you see the connection of learning being made. As I look forward to the beginning of each school year, I am saddened but excited as each year comes to an end. I love to see the maturity in the fine young boys and girls ready to begin their next year. Thank you for opportunity to love and work with your child!

If you have any questions, concerns, or comments please feel free to call the school office at 256-593-5221. My email is amy_maroney@ecboe.org. I check my email several times during the day and will try to respond to you the same day.
