Equal Education Opportunity Statement:

 

It is the policy of the Etowah County Board of Education that no student shall be excluded from participating in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination in any program or activity on the basis of gender, age, marital status, race, religion, belief, national origin, ethnic group, disability, immigrant status, non-English speaking ability, homeless status, or migrant status.

 

Etowah County Schools do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, disability, or age in its programs and activities and provides equal access to the designated youth groups.

 

No person shall, on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, age, ethnicity, marital status, disability if otherwise qualified, political or religious beliefs, national origin, social and family background, or on the basis of the use of language other than English, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity, or in any employment conditions or practices conducted by this school system except as provided by law.
