Course Objective:      Pre-Calculusis a high school mathematics course designed to prepare students for successbeyond high school—in college or at work. The course is aligned with the CommonCore State Standards with the goal of improving ACT scores for our high schoolstudents.

 

Textbook:                   Glencoe Pre-Calculus

 

Materials:                   Pencils

                                    Pens (allowedfor note taking only)

                                    Paper(college ruled preferred)

                                    3-ringbinder (1 inch binder with two dividers)

                                    Graph paper (optional)

                                    Chapter 2 – Power,Polynomials, and Rational Functions

                                    Chapter 3 – Exponentialand Logarithmic Functions

                                    Chapter 4 – TrigonometricFunctions

                                    Chapter 5 – TrigonometricIdentities and Equations

                                    Chapter 6 – Systemsof Equations and Matrices

                                    Chapter 7 – ConicSections and Parametric Equations

                                    Chapter 8 – Vectors

                                    Chapter 9 – PolarCoordinates and Complex Numbers

50/50 Ifchapters are split in half

                                    Homework:                 10/10 complete, 6/10 partiallycomplete,
