My name is Teresa Talton.   I am married to Jimmy Talton  and we have three children.  All of my children graduated from Sardis . Brandi in 1999, Jessica in 2006 and Ryan in 2008.  Ryan's wife graduated in 2009 and teaches first grade at Whitesboro Elementary.

They have blessed us with nine beautiful grandchildren.  Our granddaughter, Ava was born with a severe heart defeat.  She has had 2 open heart surgeries already.   Watching her achieve her mile stones has been such a blessing to our family. At one year old, Ava has taught me to never give up and to take things one day at a time.

I am Highly Qualified through Snead State and have received a training training thru the Madison Access Support Center.

It has been nineteen years since I began at Sardis.  First as a substitute teacher and now as the Facilitator of the Access program.  I also help in the office when needed.  Over the years, I have grown to love this school and community.  I think we have the greatest students.

I have been the  facilitator, of the Access Distance Learning program at Sardis High School for the past fourteen years.  The Access program is a very exciting program that allows students to take online classes. This program allows our students to take classes that are not available at Sardis.   Over the past several years students have taken many foreign languages including Latin, French, Chinese, and German.   Many sciences and elective classes are also available thru Access. This year has been challenging for everyone.  We have both in person students and virtual students.

I look forward to working with your child in the Access program.  If you have any questions, please contact me at 256-593-5221.  I will be happy to speak with you.
