3 ring binder with pockets (1 inch)

Loose leaf paper

Colored pencils

Donations needed: 1 pack of colored copy paper, 1 pack of paper towels, Kleenex, and hand sanitizer

Course Topics:

Lab safety and tools

Molecules to Organisms: Structure and Processes (the cell, organelle structure and function, and DNA, Standards 1-6)

Ecosystems: Interactions, Energy, and Dynamics (populations, biomes, organisms, population growth, Standards 7-10)

Heredity: Inheritance and Variation of Traits (genetics, Punnett squares, pedigrees, standards 11-12)

Unity and Diversity (taxonomy adaptions, natural selection standards 13-16)  

Classroom Rules

1. Be in assigned seat when bell rings
2. Be prepared (pen, pencil, paper)
3. Respect everyone (yourself, peers, and teacher)
4. Remain in class unless an emergency occurs

GRADING SYSTEM:

• Tests are more points than any other item completed in class. It is VERY important to make tests up within 3 days of being absent.
• Any late assignments are zero
• Straight point system

MAKE_UP Policies

• Make-up work is the student’s responsibility! The student must see Mrs. Gilmer to receive or schedule make-up assignments the day he/she returns to school.
• Make-up tests are given during Lion period or any time scheduled with Mrs. Gilmer
• In order to make up work an absence has to be excused.
